TEEN CLUB TO OPEN IN TULSA
Phillip and Tracey Farmer announced plans to open a Teen Club and Party Rental Facility in the Village at Woodland Hills Shopping Center at 71rst & Memorial behind Gold’s Gym.
A California concept, KRave Teen Town will offer teens a trendy place of their own with a wide range of activities including live music, DJ’s, 3250 square foot dance floor, large game/arcade area, Karaoke/Celebrity mini stage, web surfing, study areas, gigantic high definition video projection screens, VIP lounge, and concession areas. Admittance is recommended for teens 13 to18 years old. It provides safe supervised indoor venue.
KRave planners have recently completed final design details. The 9392 square foot facility is expected to open this December. It is expected to accommodate over 800 patrons.
As residents of the greater Tulsa area for 15 years, Phillip and Tracey Farmer explained their involvement is a family affair. With 3 children who all attended Broken Arrow/Tulsa schools they wanted to provide a safe and entertaining environment for teens to gather and socialize.
The Farmers operated McDonald’s in greater Tulsa for 10 years establishing an impressive list of charitable contributions and community service. Besides the night-time club festivities the Farmers are considering day time access to the facility with study and tutoring opportunities.
The facility will also be available days and weekends for special events, banquets, and parties. Krave Teen Town is not a franchise with dozens of identical facilities around the country. It has its own look and character to meet the needs of the owner operators and their community”.
The project will employ both local subcontractors as well as nationally recognized creative talent from the entertainment industry to assure a “one-of-a-kind” Club.

MOVIE PRODUCER/DIRECTOR DESIGNING TEEN CENTER IN TULSA
What do John Travolta, Drew Barrymore, N.A.S.A. and Tulsa’s soon to open Krave Teen Club have in common? …. All have experienced the creative talents of James Orr.
Before joining the Krave Teen Clubs as Director of New Operations, Orr directed and produced feature film & television projects with such talents as John Travolta, Drew Barrymore, Shelley Duval, Shelley Winters, Pat Paulsen and Mary Stewart Masterson. Clips from his films have been featured on The Academy Awards, the Tonight Show and the Cannes Film Festival. Prior to his movie career, Orr worked with N.A.S.A. as a Space Shuttle subcontractor and taught high school for Houston-based N.A.S.A families.
Since retiring from the film business Orr has funneled his artistic and creative talents into creating unique clubs around the country including Tulsa’s new Krave Teen Town scheduled to open this December. The club will provide teens an exciting party environment to socialize with friends in a safe and responsible manner. It will also be available for private party and special event rental for all ages.
The 10,000 square foot Tulsa facility located at 6808 S. Memorial at 71st behind Golds Gym has an impressive dance floor, elevated dance platform, DJ stage, 3 big screen video projectors, and concession stand. Menu items range from soda and energy drinks to pizza, chili cheese dogs and assorted snacks.
Orr prides himself on his ability to give each Teen Center a character all it’s own. Orr is demonstrating his movie-making skills by utilizing his special effect and set design methods to transform the Tulsa space into an exciting club with everything from a European “techno” dance floor to a Tiki Lounge and retro mirror ball.
Almost half of the Tulsa facility is dance floor space to feature local bands and DJ’s. Glowing snack bars, laser light show, smoke-effects, and a state of the art sound & lighting system surround a two tier stage.
Besides live entertainment Krave Teen Town features a wide array of games with everything from pool and air hockey to more cerebral pursuits such as chess. Arcade games also share the space with all time favorites like pinball, driving units, boxing and prize giving crane games to name a few.
A VIP lounge will provide a celebrity retreat for members with its own “mini” stage, Karaoke system and one of the three huge video projection screens.
Krave Teen Town’s unique “Virtual Club” will allow live video shout-outs from club visitors to friends and parents over the Internet via computers and smart phones providing streaming live video of the entertainment at KRave Clubs.
Orr has found a way to successfully meld his wild and crazy Hollywood experiences with his teaching credentials to create a venue that provides fun and excitement in a safe and responsible manner for teens.
The club pays teens to help promote the club as members of the Krave “street team”.
